Alien Mercenaries Season 2 Episode #29!

Hey gang! Had a blast at Comic Con today (or is it technically yesterday now??), really cool to see some people in person that up until now have only existed as digital people on the forum. Tomorrow will be even more madness...need...sleeep...@_@

*ehem*

Okay, here's Episode #29 of Alien Mercenaries Season 2. What I'm planning on doing is having a new episode released in the beginning and end of each month until I can get back on a decent schedule for the comic's new episodes to be released.

Hope you all enjoy it:

This episode is a short one, but it leads into a HUGE 30th episode that may or may not be split into 2 parts depending on it's final size. The blue & red spaceship is the Space Hawk vehicle from the GO-BOTS toy line by Tonka in the 1980's. I needed to a ship for this scene, and it was all I had on hand. It actually works out pretty well though.

So...what IS that yellow monster anyways?? O_o??

The Alien Mercenaries are going to New York Comic Con!

That's right gang, the Alien Mercenaries are getting their first printed photo comic!!! As Greh'eck and Hurneff said above, it will be on sale exclusively at New York Comic Con this weekend. I'm excited about this, as it's my first official comic release, so I hope everyone enjoys it. I had a lot of fun making it. :-D See you all at the con!

Welcome to October!

Hey gang, it's October once again and that means one thing: Halloween. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I wanted to make sure the banner for the blog looked extra spooky this month.

(EDIT on 9/9/2011: Putting the photo into this entry, as it's long since been removed as the banner due to changes of the seasons. -Bah'glenn)

The scene depicted above shows Luminon (the one in front with the glowing eyes) lighting the path while he and Rd'eys Pheyden are walking through a dark and dingy swamp. Suddenly, 3 Jkk'Olurntrns reveal themselves from the darkness and prepare to attack! The Jkk'Olurntrns from left to right are: Kackle, Slack'jaw & their leader Fryte.

OH and the picture that I showed for September's banner was a panel from another project I have in the works called "Alien Mercenaries: Episode #0" in which we see the 'Mercenaries before they go off on their voyage to look for the shipwreck. When it's completed, it should lead right up to the 1st panel of Alien Mercenaries Episode #1, bringing the story full circle in a sense. It's quite a project involving lots of different sets so I'm not 100% sure when I will finish it...but hopefully before the new year. Stay tuned...

New "Vacation Creations"!

Well as the weather here in New Hampshire has been very rainy since Sunday, it's given me some time to do some random creating. I'm going to post pics of the first new custom I made, something I'm calling a "Cohbrean" (Co-bree-en):

Cohbrean v1(Front)

Cohbrean v1(Angled Right Side)

Cohbrean v1(Angled Right Side)

This was my 1st attempt, but as it was a tad too thin, it stretched out while in the oven so he looks up more then directly in-front of him. Sunday night I worked on a 2nd Cohbrean which came out MUCH better:

Cohbrean v2 Front

Cohbrean v2 Posed

Cohbrean Right Side

Close-Up Angled View (Left Side)

Cohbrean v2 Close-Up Angled Right View

I'll probably make another version of this race during my vacation week, gotta try a few more tweaks on this one to get the sculpt just right. It's not bad now at all, much thicker then the 1st head and due to that additional thickness it didn't warp in the oven. The green-eyed version is now always looking up while this one is looking more forwards. Ah well, you live and learn. This body was built a month or so ago but I never got around to doing anything useful with it, but I always wanted a snake-like alien to inhabit it. I may make some custom-parts for these guys to give them a more unique look, stay tuned for more gang. 8-)

OH and go check out the Glyos Forum's "Custom Creations II" thread (CLICK HERE) to see another guy I made while on vacation. What's that one going to be? Well, he's a real pig and I'll leave it at that. ;-)

Vacation time once again!

Going off on my annual trip to New Hampshire with my family and now (for the 1st time) my fiancee Beth too. Should prove to be a interesting week, and I'll no doubt be able to get some work done while on the trip (sculpting and such). We should have internet access up there (cause in this day-and-age, where isn't there web access??) so I'll try to post some pics of what's going on up there, as well as what I'm working on.

Oh, side-note: the banner for the page has changed for this month and is the 3rd picture in the banner picture story I'd been doing for the last 3 months. Basically it shows some Prutarran soldiers on the look out for an un-known alien called "Arrowhead". He revealed himself to us, the audience, in the July banner and then made his move this month slicing a soldier in half. O_O I'll have some more shots of him this week odds are.

Stay tuned...

Happy 4th of July!!

Oky I've missed just bout every holiday this year to do a special comic, so I while at my parent's house I broke out the camera & did a little 7-panel comic, scripted it & posted it in less then 2 hours.

I put it over on the forum, as around this time last year that's where they all were anyway.

Have a safe & Happy 4th of July everybody, and thanks to all the people who enjoy & read mysilly stuff! :-D

New Banner for June...but what about May??

As per ussual, I totally slipped up & forgot to take a photo for May. Sooo we're just gonna skip May (seeing as we're almost half-way into June already) and just start with June. This time, I made up banners for the next 2 months in advance, so all I'll need to do is swap out June for July when the time comes.

Little bit of back-story about the June banner: there's this plant that grows in my parents garden that for some reason always reminds me of bamboo, so I've been wondering when I could take advantage of that for a photo shoot. As I hadn't put a new banner up since April, and was wondering what motiff I could go with that seems "summer-like", I finally had my chance. The pictures are progressive, so each month up until August they change a bit, just something fun to show on the blog until I get to be more festive once October rolls around.

Next episode of Alien Mercenaries is being scripted as I'm writing this, so sometime before the end of this month/the begining of next month it should go up. I had fun shooting this episode, so I hope you guys enjoy it as well.
